The Spa Centre features two massage
pools and one childrens pool.
The
swimming pool complex can hold 300 guests.
The pool area is decorated with blue
and turquoise mosaics, wall paintings
and plants. The pools have artificial
channels, geysers and offer air and
water massages. During the summer, the
glass partition is removed and the indoor
pools merge with the outdoor pool on
the terrace. In addition to swimming
and water massage, water gymnastics
are organised and around the pools are
a sauna, and a massage and beauty centre. |

The Catez spa was mentioned in records as early as 1855, when it was written that within its willow groves the locals would "dig holes into gravel or sand and bathe in hot water and then go down to the River Sava and cool themselves in its cold waves".
It is today the largest natural spa and the second largest tourist centre in Slovenia. In addition to a wide range of spa services, the spa can boast of carefully planned tourist attractions and comforts within the spa complex, which are supplemented by the select environment of a historical castle, the Mokrice Castle complex, which is only 7 km away and even includes a golf course. |

Even back in the 16th century local
people knew about the beneficient
effects of the Topolšica springs.
These waters were later mentioned
as Florian's spa and in 1836 the first
resort was opened to the public. The
beneficient waters, a favourable location
coupled with an excellent climate - numerous sunny days and fresh mountain
air with no mists or fogs - stimulated
the development of a sanatorium in the
midst of virgin nature.
The Spa/Health Centre features
indoor heated swimming pools for therapy
and recreation: (32°C - 35°C), solarium,
sauna gymnasium, fitness studio, physiotherapy
centre and balneo-hydrotherapy treatments. |
