    The Sofitel Thalassa Vilalara is a blend of Sun, Sea and Well-being. A complex that meets the most demanding standards and offers you suites and apartments with comfort, style and good taste.

The key aspect of this Sofitel is its Thalassotherapy Centre, with facilities comparable to those found in the best European Centres. Bathed in an oasis of greenery, the low lying architecture is in harmony with the ground and gives this location an air of intimacy, just right for relaxation.

The footpaths that link the various swimming pools are an invitation to stroll through a magnificent garden rich in colours and scents.
From the top of the escarpment, overlooking the ocean, you can dream of discovery and freedom.

There are 120 junior suites. Their decoration is simple but refined and they are composed of a bedroom combined living room and bathroom. All these suites have their own terrace and views over the magnificent garden or the swimming pool.
For those guests who enjoy luxury, the Sofitel Thalassa Vilalara has 2 presidential suites named “Lisboa” and “Porto”.

Although the Sofitel Thalassa Vilalara does not have its own private golf course, we have arrangements with the best Golf clubs in the Algarve that allow GOLF lovers the possibility of benefiting from special prices.

A magnificent half-crescent of fine sand laid down at the base of the escarpment over the years, this beach has two names, for some people it is “Praia das Gaivotas” (Beach of the Seagulls) while older people still use the name “Praia da Cova Redonda” (Beach of the Round Pit).

The Sofitel Thalassa Vilalara, has direct access to the beach.
In Summer, and when climateric conditions permit, we make the following equipment available to our guests:
• Free parasols and loungers,
• Balls for playing “pétanque”
Nearby, various nautical sports can be enjoyed and there are caves to be visited (paid activities).

The hotel has 4 tennis courts, 2 of which are floodlit (Opening hours: 7H00-22H00). Want a few lessons? Just ask, and our tennis coach will be fully available to help you.

Gastronomy: Typical Algarvian gastronomy is characterised by grilled sardines, lobster and the aroma of a fish and sea-food “cataplana”, as well as desserts based on almonds and figs, Lagoa wine and “medronho” spirits. You can also try delicious, traditional, flavour-rich Portuguese recipes or, if you prefer, a choice of several international dishes.

In the Thalassotherapy Centre, the therapists put the properties of seawater to the service of your health. Your body is in perfect osmosis with the elements of nature.

Neo Ornelas
Neo Ornelas has trained extensively in most of the major yoga systems with the world’s leading teachers. Since then he has established a distinctive Yoga teaching technique. His style is rooted in the experience acquired through his personal journey and his absolute commitment to bring depth and clarity to the understanding and practice of Yoga in its entirety. Neo Ornelas presents ancient yogic traditions in his own 21st century style.

Neo is qualified to the highest recognisable standard set by The Yoga Alliance in the United States and is a member of the British Wheel of Yoga in the United Kingdom. He holds a Government accredited Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Certificate gained at the Yoga Arts Training Academy in Australia. Neo is also qualified to teach and train other yoga teachers and is the Director of the Yoga with Neo yearly teacher training programs in Marbella, Spain.

Neo has recorded a Guided Relaxation CD for adults called “Managing Stress”, which is available in bookshops on the Costa del Sol and is now available in the iTunes global music library. He also has recorded a special Children’s Guided Meditation CD, which is now being used by children in schools in the United Kingdom. He currently writes a regular Health & Well Being review column for H! Society Magazine. He is a well-known public speaker on the Wellbeing circuit and facilitates workshops and trainings in Europe.

Prior to commencing his career teaching yoga in 2003, Neo spent six years working in Europe, the United States and in Asia as a business executive for technological and internet companies. Neo is a graduate in Law, is a certified NLP Practitioner and has completed professional training in the Enneagram System.
